Yerevan Revealed: A Must-Visit Destination in Eastern Europe, Yerevan, Armenia

Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, is a unique and vibrant destination that offers an experience unlike any other in the world. From its rich cultural heritage to its stunning architecture and beautiful landscapes, Yerevan has something for everyone.

Unfortunately, my arrival in Yerevan did not get off on the right foot as a rather brusque guy sitting behind his desk at the rental car company at the airport told me in a none-too-pleasant tone of voice that I could not rent a car without an International Driving Licence, something that I was not told from beforehand that I needed. Nothing I said could persuade him to change his mind. He even quoted the 1968 Vienna Convention on Road Traffic to me! Therefore, I had no other choice but to book a cheap taxi on the Yandex app in order to head to my booked apartment.

Having said this, I highly recommend downloading the Yandex taxi app as, although most of the main attractions in the city are walkable, some others are not and going around by taxi is ridiculously cheap from a Westerner鈥檚 point of view. ......
