Both Tenerife and Fuerteventura are quite tourist oriented. So unfortunately, most restaurants cater to Western tourists demands and are heavily meat and seafood based. I think this is the case for most popular destinations. The result is unoriginal and un-environment friendly cuisines. Few restaurants stand for any values and just serve whatever the majority is used to.
