My English Memories: Oxford, Oxford, England

A long time ago鈥ell, it was more than fifteen years ago to be precise, I spent a Valentine鈥檚 day in Oxford, England. It sounds like an opening of a love story, doesn鈥檛 it? And it was a love story at the time. To add to the romantic feeling of it all, it鈥檇 snowed a few days before so there was still some snow left on the ground on our way to Oxford. Suffice to say, the snow only added to the omnipresent magic of that Valentine鈥檚 day trip.

I didn鈥檛 have a fixed plan of things to do and see or a tight sightseeing plan for our day in Oxford. We strolled around and had some food and I took a bunch of photos. This happened before my blogging days but back then I wrote a travel journal so I do have concrete notes about this very special Valentine鈥檚 day day trip to Oxford.

Oxford is a small town famous for its old university, much like Cambridge. Since I鈥檝e already visited Cambridge a few times before going to Oxford it was hard not to make any comparisons between these two illustrious cities.
