While it may sit in a part of Thailand that tourists don鈥檛 regularly explore, Udon Thani benefits from this location by serving as a convenient stop between Bangkok聽and聽Vientiane. At least, that鈥檚 what drew me to visit. Here鈥檚 my take on whether there are聽things to do in Udon Thani and whether you should take the time to go yourself.

Udon Thani is located in the northeast of Thailand, a long way from the country鈥檚 most popular destinations.

And yet, it鈥檚 not that hard聽to get to Udon Thani. That鈥檚 because the city sits on the train line running from Bangkok and聽Ayutthaya聽towards Nong Khai at the Laos Border.
