While I鈥檇 also visited聽Kanchanaburi聽for its history, the attractions in Ayutthaya follow a different theme, showcasing the city鈥檚 proud heritage that stretches back to 1350.

Here are many of the top attractions in Ayutthaya you鈥檒l want to know if you鈥檙e considering a visit when in聽Thailand.

The city is just north of Bangkok (80km/50 miles) so most people come from the modern capital on a day trip. But getting there yourself isn鈥檛 hard.
