A Guide to Prague's Concert Venues, Prague, Czech Republic
When I’m not traveling, I’m going to concerts… or traveling to go to concerts. Having lived the better part of the last decade in Prague, I’ve been to almost every venue from the sprawling grounds of Letňany Airport to the basement of Café v lese. While this is not an exhaustive list of concert venues in Prague, if your favorite artist is coming to town, you can bet they’re going to one of these places. Here are some of Prague’s most storied music venues.
Forum Karlin is Prague’s best mid-size venue and it regularly brings some big names like The XX, Queens of the Stone Age, and the Smashing Pumpkins. Forum looks like an open warehouse with two balconies that wrap around the venue. The rail on the balconies tends to be the first places to fill up along with the floor in front of stage. The best part about the venue is that, in addition to two large bars the rear end, there are a handful of drink stands on either side of the hall so you can get a refill without leaving the floor.
