A Concert Guide to Croke Park in Dublin, Dublin, Ireland

Croke Park is one of Ireland’s most iconic venues not only as the home of Ireland’s Gaelic Games but as a concert venue for world-class musical acts. The open-air stadium has a capacity of over 80,000 people and has hosted some of the biggest names in music including Beyonce, Oasis, and U2. If you’re planning to attend a concert at Croke Park, here is everything you need to know for a smooth and unforgettable experience.

One of the best things about Croke Park compared to some of the other huge stadium venues in Europe is how close it is to city center. So whether you’re visiting or you call Dublin home, you don’t have to spend hours on show day navigating overcrowded public transportation, although that is also an option. Croke Park is just 15-20 minutes on foot from O’Connell Street and Parnell Street where concertgoers and sports fans often pregame for their event.

If you’re not walking distance from the stadium, you can take the train, buses, or Luas line, which is the tram in Dublin. The closest train station to Croke Park is Drumcondra, which services both commuter and InterCity trains if you’re coming from outside Dublin. You can also access the stadium from the DART stations at Clontarf or Connolly, which are around 25 minutes away on foot. The closest Luas stations are Connolly on the Red Line, and Parnell and Marlborough on the Green Line. These are a little over a kilometer away from Croke Park. ......
