2-Day Venice Itinerary: Experience the Italian Rustic Charm, Venice, Italy

I have been to Venice twice – in Autumn 2007 and then again in Spring 2025. While there is notably a rise in tourist numbers over the years and many improvements made to enhance visitor experiences, Venice still retains the charm I remember from nearly two decades ago. All those photogenic canals and bridges, narrow streets as well as old rustic buildings make Venice the unique place it is. A typical 2-day Venice itinerary will normally include St Mark’s Square, Rialto Bridge, a gondola ride, as well as a trip to Murano and/or Burano. And I will help in summing up the details here!

On the whole, this 2-day Venice itinerary is designed to appeal to first-time visitors, covering the essence of Venice. I have also written about an optional third day in case you are interested in the art museums in Venice. In particular, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Galleria Accademia are arguably two of Europe’s important art collections that should appeal to art enthusiasts.
